Bicycles. What else?

In the Netherlands, every household has one or more bicycles. Children ride a bike to school, and bicycle commuting is also very common. All train stations offer free bicycle parking, or a more secure parking place for a small fee, with the larger stations also offering bicycle repair shops. Cycling is so popular that the parking capacity is usually exceeded.

We have a very extensive network of bike paths; lanes that foreigners sometimes mistake for a normal road, so they drive their cars on it. In some streets, cyclists even have priority over cars, like in this street in Breda.
