Again you visited
sneaking in
and delivering the first blow
only to hit even harder
moments later
tattering the foundations
of our existence
—
You have done enough
for now, Death
take this departed soul
and keep him close
be gentle
—
‘Thank you’
for this reminder
of our mortality
the need
to make each day
precious and special
—
‘Thank you’
for showing the necessity
to tell our loved ones
once again
they are treasured
infinite, unconditionally
—
Thank you
and damn you
heartless and cruel
Death
—
Harsh master
have mercy
please
—
I’ve never thought of Death in this way – as a gift to remind us to treasure our days.
Very well done.

Birth and death both belong to life, inextricably linked. After a life well spent, death can be an old and welcome friend. But in other cases… it can be very cruel.
Thank you MJ.

Death is always in the background. We just need to live by creating pretty flowers in every moment we have got. 🙂
Great words and wisdom. 🙂

The thin line you walk between the hurt of the loss and the joy for life that comes out of it, is expressed in a stunning way.

I just hope my words will help a bit. Life and death sometimes may seem adversely, but are inseparable.
