Outside the wind was darting playfully around the house, chasing leaves in the dark. Temperatures plummeted, but inside was laughter, friends and food. While Vman had been toiling outside to plant four lime trees, I was snug inside in the kitchen, preparing a tapas dinner.
Here are the fruits of my labor:
And the separate dishes:
tortilla, with salmon and bell pepper
Dates wrapped in bacon
Toast, sweet & sour, aioli
Tomatoes, filled with tuna cream and whisky
Spicy meatballs
Salted almonds, olive mix, chili sauce and cucumber
Olive dip oil, soy salmon and tomato mix
Garlic mushrooms in white wine
Smashed potatoes, ready to be baked
It was finger lickin’ good food! But the company was even better. Thanks sweet friends, for transforming a cold evening into a warm bubble of coziness.
