Screen Legends

Huge black eyes follow my every step. Our living room is dominated by the portrait of Audrey Hepburn. Her elfin features and the echoes over her merry laugh have captured my heart. Audrey is one of the world’s most famous actresses of all time, remembered as a film and fashion icon of the twentieth century.

She is ranked third greatest female screen legend in the history of American cinema by the American Film Institute. On the first spot is Katharine Hepburn (not related as far as I know), the top female Hollywood legend, and the second place is for Bette Davis. Their male alter egos are Humphrey Bogart on number one, Cary Grant on two and James Steward on third base.

I long for the days when celebrities had real class. They could act, dance, sing, were all-rounders. As for now…
