Berlin – Figments of a DuTchess

An extraordinary performance of elegance, expression and body control in a graceful dance. Such enormous strength in the slender body of Beatrice Knop, born December 13, 1972 in East-Berlin.

Her partner in this piece is Leonard Jakovina.

It takes years of tremendous work, dedication and commitment to reach this level.

I’m in awe. Though I don’t dare to think of what this woman’s torso, legs and especially feet have to endure.

And this guy’s imagination seems pretty limitless. Meet Erik Johansson, a Swede living in Berlin, Germany. Erik is a professional photographer and retoucher, who makes stunning photos.

I work mostly with personal- and commissioned projects. For me photography is just a way to collect material to realize the ideas in my mind. I get inspired by things around me in my daily life and all kinds of things I see. Every new project is a new challenge and my goal is to realize them as realistic as possible.
