Forever linked: James Bond, Sean Connery, Aston Martin. This is the original Aston Martin DB5 that secret agent James Bond was given by the engineer ‘Q’ to carry out his mission in the film ‘Goldfinger’. It is on display at the Louwman Museum in The Hague, the Netherlands.
I admire Sir Sean Connery; my youngest son is named after him.

Mother and son.
Movies and popcorn.
My V-man is occupied otherwise, and my eldest son is out for the weekend. That leaves my youngest son Sean and me with a free Saturday afternoon and evening. Oh yes, quality time!
The weekend is here. What is your plan for today? 😀
Whatever it is, make it a good one!

This week, the Six Word Story Challenge – 6WSC – is all about FILM.
A film, also called a movie or motion picture, is a series of still images which, when shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images. A film is created by photographing actual scenes with a motion picture camera; by photographing drawings or miniature models using traditional animation techniques; by means of CGI and computer animation; or by a combination of some or all of these techniques and other visual effects. Contemporary definition of cinema is the art of simulating experiences, that communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty or atmosphere by the means of recorded or programmed moving images along with other sensory stimulation.
The challenge for you:
Write a story about FILM in just six words. Let a photo or image inspire you to write a story. Or first write the story, and then make or search for a picture to go with it.
Here’s a Six Word Story by Ernest Hemingway.
Such an impact and unseen images in only six words…
Publish your Six Word Story on your own website/blog and paste the link to that post in a comment to this one here at Figments. I will include your contribution in this post, forming a list of stories.
Will you join me? Will you? Say you do. And share the challenge news!
I look forward to your stories.

Have you ever met Simon’s Cat? If you haven’t, then skip the text and first watch the short film at the end of this post. If you already know this little charming, yet mischievous creature, then
first read the also first watch the film 😉
Simon’s cat made his first appearance online in a film called ‘Cat Man Do‘. It is created by Simon Tofield, an English animator who has a great interest in British wildlife, painting, the great outdoors and of course cats. Tofield started animating at a very young age. Inspired by cartoons on TV, he used to create basic flip-books in an attempt to emulate the techniques he saw being used on screen.
And he has living study materials at home:
Do you recognize the crazy things felines do to get attention? And food?! Enjoy the silliness of Simon’s cat – hilarious little movies that make me grin, at times even laugh out loud.
Other animations – and I know you will want to see more – can be found here.
