Photo Challenge: Shadow

The Shadow nipped at their heels,

gaining on them,

and they never even noticed.

The end

A very short story!  😉

Just let me get my breath for a while, please?
Just let me get my breath for a while, please?
Made of shadows
Made of shadows
Shadow and light
Now where is it? Give me back my shadow!
Now where is it? Give me back my shadow!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette

The proper definition of a silhouette is “the outline of a body viewed as circumscribing a mass.” In photography, often we achieve that effect by putting light behind the object whose silhouette we want to capture, effectively darkening out the features of the subject instead of highlighting them.

Share a picture of a Silhouette with everyone!

Skin To Skin

A draft stirs the candles
While all doors are closed
Alert green eyes stare
At invisible ghost

Shadows crawl closer
And touch me with fear
The clock keeps on ticking
As midnight draws near

My senses all tensed
I shiver, feel lost
What was comfy and warm
Is now covered in frost

Cat stretches and yawns
When I cuddle his hair
Turn off the lights
And climb up the stairs

As I slip beneath covers
Strong arms hold me close
A smile lights the darkness
Emerging from doze

In shadow shines sun light
Love stirs deep within
As we lay warm entangled
And touch skin to skin
