They are both very nice, but for serenity, I’d go with the butterfly 🙂

I’m biased because I love cats and they have the uncanny ability to look serene even when things aren’t serene around them. The butterfly pic is beautiful as well.

As a cat lover, I’m drawn to the cat one first – but the butterfly photo is great too! Both capture the essence of serene. Nice job!

I was all set to say butterfly when I first saw your question since butterflies seem serene all the time. However, that cat is having a moment. I’ve seen those moments, and if you know cats, you have to take them when you can. Cat moments can change in a heartbeat!
