This week, let your inner world and the outside one converge in a photo, Ben Huberman says in The Daily Post photo challenge.

I chose this photo to depict my state of mind, because spring is right around the corner. The world is turning fresh once again and that makes me happy. The leaf isn’t completely green though, which represents my sadness over the passing of my sweet tomcat Bandit yesterday, who -as a good friend said-
is crossing the Rainbow Bridge now and will walk with the beautiful animals forever.
So no silver lining, but a line of mourning around an otherwise tranquil photo.
By the way, this is Bandit:

and the tiny tip of his tongue sticking out is characteristic for his silliness. Rest now, old friend. We will remember you ❤

It seems a season for losing pets, from the number of posts on the subject. Sympathy.

Thanks, Col. Their life span usually is a lot shorter than ours. But they make up for that with their love.

I’m sorry about the passing of your cat Bandit. I understand how dear our pets can be and what an integral participant in our daily life they become.
I like your use of depth of field in the photo. Your words reflect my feelings at this time of year.
