My life is filled with music. The credits on my cell phone are mostly spent on Spotify, and though I don’t sing in the shower, I do so in the vehicle. Hell, my car won’t even drive when there’s no music playing!
Lately this lady has caught my ear: Meghan Trainor,
a 22 years old American singer-songwriter and record producer, who wrote, recorded, performed and produced three independently-released albums between ages 15 and 17! She must have music in her blood.
I chose these three songs:
Like I’m gonna lose you, for there is much truth in her words.
The merry Better when I’m dancing
And this one, because I love the text:
It’s all about the bass
Yeah, it’s pretty clear, I ain’t no size two
But I can shake it, shake it
Like I’m supposed to do
‘Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase
And all the right junk in all the right placesI see the magazine workin’ that Photoshop
We know that shit ain’t real
C’mon now, make it stop
If you got beauty building, just raise ’em up
‘Cause every inch of you is perfect
From the bottom to the topYeah, my mama she told me don’t worry about your size
She says, “Boys like a little more booty to hold tonight.”
You know I won’t be no stick figure silicone Barbie doll
So if that’s what you’re into then go ahead and move alongI’m bringing booty back
Go ahead and tell them skinny bitches that
No I’m just playing. I know you think you’re fat
But I’m here to tell ya
Every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the topBecause you know
I’m all about that bass
‘Bout that bass, no treble
Meghan, go ahead and make more songs, you have my blessing. 😉
