An excellent interpretation of the theme. So often in Africa, it is only the boys who receive a higher education. It is good to see these young women forging their own future.

Exactly, Tish! And they do it with much compassion. One of these women has a family of her own, children of her own, and yet she’s staying at a primary school in very ‘primary’ conditions. I have the utmost respect for them.

Independence is very important for women around the world. Being able to take care of themselves gives them a far better and safer position.
