Six Word Saturday

Haaaa, pee all you want now!

Eh, no, I did not mean that!

Four months ago, Smokey and Boris joined our little family, and that made Nick and me very happy. Bandit, on the other hand, wasn’t too charmed about his new feline brothers. In fact, he was not pleased at all. And to vent his frustration, he has been peeing near the front door each night. Every single night.

I have tried lots of things to stop him from doing this. I barricaded the area, but he simply finds a new spot next to it. I have placed a fourth cat litter, which the other two cats eagerly use. I have sprinkled pepper, cleaned with vinegar, with normal and natural soap, with lots of water. Have sprayed with special neutralizing odor. But Bandit has no nose on his rear end, so he doesn’t mind what I do. He minds only his own business. And that is peeing, sometimes twice a day.

Can you imagine what happens to my mail when it floats gently to the floor, settling snugly on the wet tiles? Aye, straight into the bin.

But I have found another solution, as you can see in the picture: a mail bag! I have to insert two more hooks near the top, but the wood is too hard to simply twist them in. That will have to wait until one of my handy friends comes over.

Have a clean weekend!

  1. Cats make us very inventive sometimes. Especially when they decide to pee everywhere. I know your pain! Thanks for playing 6WS!

  2. 🙂 Good luck with te basket and your (now living up to his name) Bandit.
I love it when you transform things that annoy you into this humorous pieces.
Especially the line under the photo…you’ll never know when drunks visit you front door 😉 LOL

    Take care…XXX

      1. No tips unfortunately Marion, we never did manage to get the cat to change her ways. We tried all sorts. At one point our house looked a bit like a space ship because we’d heard that tinfoil on surfaces they liked to pee on would discourage them. It didn’t! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you! At least you know not to bother with the tinfoil now! 😉

          1. Ha – exactly Marion! Or Christmas tree baubles right now….the number of baubles I am finding in random places about the house! I think it’s a combination of toddler curiosity and cat playfulness!

    1. He was already neutered when I got him from the animal shelter over ten years ago, Viv. Perhaps Bandit finally realized he was male when the others arrived in his domain. Though he has shared the house before with Ninja, my black tomcat, who passed away four years ago.

  3. I love the new theme, Marion. That header looks terrific! (and so practical too 🙂 )
Are you feeling well again? When last I was here you were having lots of head and eye issues. Did you get it sorted?

    1. Thanks! 🙂

I just replied on your website: the problems have not been solved yet, though the test and scan in the hospital were positive. And that means back to the family doctor, and then to the physiotherapist. Perhaps a nerve in my neck is blocked, I just don’t know. And neither do the specialists.

      Have a wonderful weekend, dear.
