Ah no, Chris. This classroom will be filled with over a hundred children! There is no room for tables for the kids, only the teacher has a desk. Those two weeks last May have left me with many impressions, and with a deep respect for the teachers in Malawi.
It was quite gloomy in the afternoon, desolate, as you say. But when I revisited the school in daylight a couple of days later, the room was filled with children, and filled with life.
