You could start with fruit smoothies, Elaine, and try it with yogurt, or with cold water. And when you like them, you might try to add a bit of raw spinach.
I’ve tried yogurt based ones and used peach, raspberry, pineapple, strawberries and blueberries (although not all at once!). The taste is very nice, but it’s the texture (and the thickness) – maybe water would have been better than yogurt. I’ll have another go – but I don’t think I’ll be ready for raw spinach for a while! 🙂
OK, let’s make a deal. You add one spinach leaf to your smoothie, and the rest for dinner. How’s that?
And if you don’t taste it, the next time add two. 😛
It is not a salad, Jim. These are the ingredients for a smoothie. I made this photo right before I blended the fruit, avocado and water into one. The brown seeds are linseed, the black are chia seed.
I never eat apple seeds either, and I most definitely don’t want you to end up in hospital!!! 🙂
So healthy and good for you! I am allergic to avocado, so I would add spinach!
Happy Saturday!

I really must try harder with smoothies – I find the texture quite strange, but maybe I’ve just not come up with the best fruit combination yet.

LOL really, give it a try and add only a bit. You will be surprised. And I hope you will like the water-fruit-smoothie. 🙂

You can always use the spinach to stir-fry with garlic.

Now that sounds like a MUCH tastier option. 😀

Perhaps you can make one at your place? You can throw in all kinds of fruit, and for example spinach, cucumber, even lettuce. 🙂

This was my first try-out with avocado, Viv. Normally I use banana and spinach, plus other fruits.

:). That “salad” looks delicious, Marion. But the apple seeds would send my colitous to the hospital again. I didn’t know they were edible.
