My Saturday in Six Words:

DANCING AND SINGING THE CLEANING SONG
There are a lot of things I need to do in the upcoming months, including a Dungeons & Dragons weekend and a preparation weekend for my trip to Malawi. YES, I will be going to Africa. I will tell you more about that in due time. But not today. Today I’m doing laundry, dusting, vacuum cleaning and singing.
Have a fresh weekend, all of you 🙂

I was hoping to hear “The Cleaning Song” I need it!

I did a lot of cleaning this weekend in preparation for last night’s football party. I let someone else provide the songs though – I didn’t have energy to do the singing as well. Thanks for playing 6WS1

And thank you for providing this nice challenge 🙂

I so prefer the ‘get someone to clean for you’ song!
Malawi? Wow.

And I so agree with you, Col!
Malawi must be really beautiful. But I’m going on an educational trip, so I don’t know how much scenery I will be able to absorb.

If you go there, two things you MUST see somehow are, firstly, the lake (of course) and secondly the Zomba plateau with its mid-European climate and the very pleasant Ku Chawe Inn on the summit. The views on a clear day are magnificent..

The visit to the lake is on our program, but I’m not sure about the Zomba plateau. I’d love to go there!
We will mainly stay in Lilongwe at the Emanuel Teacher Training Center.

You’ll sleep well after all that cleaning, Marion. 🙂 I wonder what song you were singing. http://8tracks.com/kimmieslaw/all-that-glitters-is-gold

Haha, fun song, thanks 😀
When I clean, I like to listen (and sing to) to happy music, like for example Gloria Estefan’s Abriendo Puertas. LOUD. And sing along. Making the sounds I mean, since I don’t speak Spanish 😉

So, is there a particular song? Lyrics? Sheet music?

No lyrics needed, Kate, just whatever plays. I prefer happy music like salsa, or rock. As long as it swings.

With a bit of luck, you’re already off out for dinner 🙂
I did a bit of singing, just to help out.

Thanks for that, it really helped, Jo! 😀

Have a lovely well earned dinner….I’m off out too, but unlike you I haven’t done my chores, not one of them….so I don’t get to wear a halo tonight. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll take a leaf out of your book and pop on some great tunes to encourage me 🙂

My daughters tell me that every time they hear Neil Diamond they get the urge to clean. Guess that tells you what I listened to while we cleaned during their childhood. 🙂

Haha that is funny! A good thing, I hope they listen to his songs regularly 😉
