A juxtaposition is the act of placing things side by side, especially for the purpose of comparison or contrast. These ‘reuzen en dwergen’ – giants and dwarves – were photographed for exactly that: to lure people to the carnival and circus by showing their contrast.

Very nicely done. I was at a community gathering the other day and there was this lady, couldn’t have been over four feet tall. It makes me wonder what it must be like for them to live in a six-foot world, always having to look up to speak to even the shortest of “regular” people. I just can’t imaging.

I can’t imagine how that feels either, Cris. Also in a very practical way they will encounter problems, just like very tall people, for example when buying clothes. Imagine ending up in the children’s section. Or there might be no clothes at all in your size.
And about your photo: two energy sources, yet so very different. A good juxtaposition shot!
