Six Word Story Challenge: Film

This week, the Six Word Story Challenge – 6WSC – is all about FILM.

A film, also called a movie or motion picture, is a series of still images which, when shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images. A film is created by photographing actual scenes with a motion picture camera; by photographing drawings or miniature models using traditional animation techniques; by means of CGI and computer animation; or by a combination of some or all of these techniques and other visual effects. Contemporary definition of cinema is the art of simulating experiences, that communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty or atmosphere by the means of recorded or programmed moving images along with other sensory stimulation.

The challenge for you:

Write a story about FILM in just six words. Let a photo or image inspire you to write a story. Or first write the story, and then make or search for a picture to go with it.

Here’s a Six Word Story by Ernest Hemingway.

    1. It was Warner Bros that took the 1st leap into the all-talking movie with the Jazz Singer in 1927. Though there are instances of sound being used earlier this film is the 1st feature-length motion-pic with synchronized dialogues. Directed by Alan Crosland, it starred Al Jolson performing the 6 songs in the Movie. And as the saying goes the rest is history.

I did not know this, Jules. Thanks! 😀
