My Saturday in Six Words:
—
NEW SEASON, NEW HAIRCUT, NEW COLOR.
Well, it’s the old color, but applied anew in highlights (blond) and lowlights (brown). No one sees it but me, I spent hours in the hairdresser’s chair and I had to pay eighty euros to walk out without being arrested. Still it always feels good.
Have a Happy Fall weekend. Stay upright!
PS I’m glad you don’t know how many photos I had to make (and delete) before I was at least a bit content 😛

Lovely, best way to drive dullness away.

It was worth every euro. Good look for you. I also love your header image.

Thanks so much, Christine 🙂 The header I have been using on my Dutch blog Doldriest. But when I write a post with an image that is large enough, then I’ll use that as a header, so each post has its own header. This one is for the overall view.

Looks great, but at that cost I am so glad that:
(a) I am male
(b) I can do my own without looking as if I have been attacked by a low-flying lawnmower.

LOL, great arguments, Col. The Vman does the same.

Alrighty, I have changed the photo at Avatar.com, but it still shows the old one. Perhaps it has to get used to the new haircut 😉

My real color is dark blond, and I only add highlights to give it a ‘fresher’ look. I don’t know how long I can keep this up, Judy, my allergies are getting worse and worse. One day I will just stop and see what happens 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Lovely new autumn colours 🙂
I know, right. It’s so bloody expensive! That’s why I always keep postponing lol.
Enjoy your new cut though, it always feels ‘fresh’ when it’s done! Great 6WS btw 🙂

Since two months, I gather my extremely thin hair in what resembles a tiny bun with a clip, and it looks fun. That way I can postpone a visit to the hairdresser too.
Glad you enjoyed the Food Festival at Rotterdam!

Well you’re braver than me – I hate putting photos of myself on my blog. Your hair looks lovely and I know how good it feels when you’ve had it done. I had mine done recently, cut and coloured and it cost AU$180 and I’m not sure what that is in comparison to the euro. I’m not sure whether I want to know if I got a better or worse deal.

Don’t worry, you win, by far! But I think it’s cheaper to have your hair done in Australia, than to come to the Netherlands and get it cut here 😉
I’m sure you look lovely!

The hair looks lovely! And spending hours at the salon is a great way to relax. Gotta admit, I can’t spend that much on my hair, boxed dye works for me, but it’s enough to make my natural highlights show up better.

Hi Amanda, and thank you! 🙂
It’s also way too much for me, but I’m allergic to paint, so I can’t do it myself. My hairdresser works very carefully with tinfoil, so none of it will touch my skin.

Well I do like the look even at 80 euros … What.!!!!… R 1070 in our currency, I don’t spend that much on my hair for the whole year… mind you that could have something to do with me being bald…

Being bald definitely has its advantages, Rob. It is much cheaper and less work 😉

I’ll have to go do a currency check to find out how much 80 euros is, dollar-wise, but I can definitely say this: Well-spent. Lovely.
