Doe Maar in Concert

My Saturday in six words:

DOE MAAR. GO AHEAD. NO MORE.

Doe Maar was a Dutch ska band with punk and reggae influences. Their career ran from 1978 to 1984 and they were one of the most successful pop bands in Dutch history. Doe Maar translates as Go Ahead or Just do it.

Yesterday they had their last reunion ever, playing at Tilburg in the Netherlands. And what a show it was! They played for hours. They played all of their hits – which were a LOT. And we all sang and danced along.

Watch and listen to Belle Hélène:

Is Dit Alles (Is this everything?):

Both singers are 64 years old!

Doe Maar – you are, were and will always be terrific.

    1. Echt iedereen zong mee, Bulldog. Ze waren top in hun tijd… en ze waren top gisteren. Helaas was dit hun laatste optreden.

Everyone was singing along yesterday, Bulldog. They were great in their time… and they were great yesterday. Too bad this was their last performance.
