I’m a big fan of olives! We’ve started a new photo challenge devoted to pictures taken in the great outdoors! I’d love it if you’d participate!
Our Wild Weekly Photo Challenge encourages bloggers to head into the wild (or the backyard) and photograph something outdoors that they feel fits the weekly theme. Our current theme for this week is “Fall”

What is your most delicious ingredient in cooking, Jo?

Chillies…I even like chilli powder in hot chocolate !!

Chillies as in sambal? Or the ground dried red little peppers? Hehehe, in hot chocolate, that is new 😀
I love (making) Indonesian food, and sambal is always present, yum.

Oh…I miss Dutch food. Especially the Frikandel Speciaal, broodjes warm vlees met pinda saus, zuurkool, boerenworst, babi panggang.
LikeLike
Oooooow. You could make the pindasaus yourself, you know, plus the zuurkool and boerenkool stamppot met worst? Babi pangang is also possible. If you need recipes, let me know 🙂
The frikandel speciaal is something different though, I can’t help you with that I’m afraid.

I do…just not that often as it’s not the same making it just for yourself. I have both Dutch and Indonesian cookbooks from Holland – but it’s the frikandel speciaal I miss the most…oh and lekkerbekjes from the market on a Friday.

Frikadel speciaal does have a very specific taste (which I don’t like, lol). Could you come back to Holland for a Frikandel-tour? One day? 🙂 And the lekkerbekjes, plus the kibbeling, I would miss like crazy too. Wished I could send you both!

I agree. Delicious. Did you take this with a macro lens? (You’re probably going to tell me you took it with your iPhone, aren’t you?) BTW, I got the camera app you mentioned. Thanks.

No iPhone this time, Christine. I took this photo with my Nikon 1 – far better than the phone. And I used a 10-30 lens. I would love to buy a macro lens, but those are way too expensive. And they don’t even exist for the Nikon 1.
Good luck with the app! I do hope you will like it once you have the time to edit with it.
