Silly Poem: Reindeer Christmas

Though there’s no snow on winter’s night

Still unseen stars are twinkling bright

And when the grayish days set in

You wonder how it should have been

Where is the whiteness that we need

The frosty coldness we must heed

Go sleighing, skating, taking walks

In comfort of thick cuddly socks

And curl up by the fire place

Joyously stuck at your home base

But none of this is happening here

This Christmas it is just Rain Dear

A very merry Christmas,

and all the best for 2012!

  1. Love, this “Rain Deer.” ! 🙂 So good and so fun. Sorry you don’t have snow, Marion. We had some when I was going to bed last night, so I promplty leashed my dog and we went walking at midnight. So much fun. Hardly anyone out (small town), but fun to play in the white stuff as it was falling. 🙂

Love the photo too. Is the Rain Deer going after the bear? 🙂

Merry Christmas to you, Marion! And may 2010 bring you lots of good things. 🙂

    1. LOL Katie, you are two years behind. We’re heading for 2012! 😉
I’m so glad you like the poem hehehe. And yes, I think the reindeer was chasing the bear through the tree.
It must have been special to walk your dog at midnight through the snow. So silent and playful 😀

    Much love,

  3. What a cute poem! Our snow has turned into slush, brown and grey, like the pregnant sky, sprinkling melted snow flakes. Fijne feestdagen en gelukkige nieuwjaar. Q x

    1. The only whiteness that fell down was a couple of days back, and that ‘snow’ didn’t even last on the ground for more than a few seconds.
Frohe Weihnachten und alles Gute für das neue Jahr Quirina.
