Art: Autumn Faerie

AUTUMN FAERIE

Nature’s creature
dressed in foliage
pearly shine of leaves
such elegant beauty

Slender limbs unfolded
reached out
in wordless whisper
to take you away

Rest, my dear
smile, be at ease
your home
is where my heart is

Autumn Faerie – a little statue I found on a Nijmegen street market

  1. It’s a lovely Autumn Faerie. The poem is inspirational and comforting. I think she’s a wonderful addition to your home.

I hope you don’t mind, but I think it’s curious that you found the little statue in a ‘Nijmegen’ street market. Out west in the USA there’s a legend about a tribe of little people called the ‘Nimigar’ who used to war with the Shoshone.
The names are awful close. I think it’s an interesting coincidence.

    1. Hello and welcome TerrainWalker 🙂

The names indeed sound the same! Thank you so much for your comment. I would love to learn more about the Nimigar and their war with the Shoshone.

I have given her the name ‘Autumn Faerie’ because, well, she simply IS one *smiles*
